Do you know what soap is?

Soap is a product used for cleaning and washing. It is usually made by mixing fat or oil with alkaline substances (such as alkali liquor) (sodium hydroxide for solid soap or potassium hydroxide for liquid soap). This process is called saponification.

Fat and oil react with alkali to form soap and glycerol. Soap molecules have unique structures that can attract water and oil, thus effectively removing dirt, oil and grease on the surface. There are many types of soap, including soap, liquid soap and special soap with added ingredients for specific purposes (such as moisturizing or exfoliating).
